Question of the Week: In my league we have the teams split into 2 divisions. For the playoffs, we want 4 teams to compete; the top 2 teams from each division. Right now it is saying that the top 4 teams by record will be in the playoffs, and I can’t figure out how to change it to the top 2 teams in each division. Is there a way to change this in the settings?
Answer: You could try moving “Best division record (same division only)” up higher in your tiebreakers list via League Settings > Edit Tiebreak Rules and see if that has the results you are looking for — if not, you could just switch it back.
The other thing to be aware of is that the commissioner is able to reseed the teams during the first week of the playoffs if they want to set which teams should be moving forward. So even if you can’t get the system to match the configuration you want to have going into the playoffs, you will have the ability to do this yourself during that first week.
